Itās that time of year again-the day after Thanksgiving, which means itās Black Friday! To be honest, I did not do any āBlack Friday shoppingā today. Once I realized that the deals werenāt really anything spectacular, and instead it was more about the experience for me in timeās past, I think I pretty much gave it up. After all, Iām not shopping for anything in particular, which is why Iām not too pressed. There are however, some individuals who live for Black Friday deals, especially on items that could garner extreme savings, which I can understand; Iām just not one of those people today, and that is okay! I wanted to spend the day resting and spending time with my family. I will plan to do all my Christmas shopping within the next few weeks! Ā
Dear Ashley,
My credit card company increased my credit limit by $1,000. What should I do?
When your credit card company increases your limit, it means you have been making your payments on time and your credit score has more than likely increased. While you have more credit to leverage, which is referred to as capacity, should not be utilized and instead just leave it alone. Continue to make all of your payments on time, paying it down to at least 25% of the balance, and eventually pay it off completely. If you must use your card for gas, do so and pay it off right away.
